CAN I SWING BY YOUR STUDIO TO CHECK OUT GEAR?
We are open by appointment only. Our crew is generally off doing events and shoots around Melbourne, interstate and internationally so often everyone is out onsite and no-one is present at the studio. All paperwork is completed prior to pick up of hires, all you need to do is come in and grab your gear. If you do need a run through on use, we can do that on the day of collection.
HOW DO I PAY?
We accept EFT and credit card via online portal payment. An invoice will be provided.
IS A BOND REQUIRED?
A rental bond is required for hires. Typical bond prices are $200 for most rentals and $300-400 for larger systems and some DJ systems. A partial or full loss of bond will only be incurred if damage has occurred to the equipment (99.9% of customers receive this back in full)
If any damage has occurred or drinks have been spilled on gear TELL US!! Gear is checked thoroughly on return and it makes it easier for everyone.
Your bond will be refunded upon return of equipment in the same condition it was received.

HOW LONG IS THE HIRE PERIOD?
All hires are for a minimum 24 hour period and for as long as you need, however we are extremely flexible and can work around what is convenient for you and us. Equipment can be hired at discounted rates for additional days/weeks if required.
WHAT DO I NEED WHEN PICKING UP EQUIPMdENT?
Just yourself. We will already have your payment details and ID.
Most of our gear will fit in a sedan, if not we’ll be sure to let you know prior to pick up. We unfortunately don’t allow pick ups in open tray utes - your vehicle must have a sealed covered cargo area.

WHAT IS DRY HIRE AND DO YOU OFFER IT?
"Dry hire” or driveway hire referring to the pick up from our “driveway” and it does not include the services of an operator or technician.
This refers to the rental of equipment, such as audio equipment, without the services of an operator or technician. This means that the customer is responsible for setting up and operating the equipment themselves.

WHAT TIME IS COLLECTION AND RETURN OF EQUIPMENT?
We are usually available Monday - Friday during business hours and Saturday mornings for pick up and returns, unless we are out on other jobs.
If you hire gear for the weekend we like people picking it up on Friday or Saturday morning and returning on Monday. We may ask you the return the equipment over the weekend in the case that you have finished with your gig and we need it for another event over the weekend.
We’re happy to work with you individually when you create a booking, so we can offer a suitable time and day for both you and us.

HOW DO I SET UP EQUIPMENT?
Mike or one of the team will provide a demonstration on how to set up and operate your sound system, audio recording kit or DJ equipment upon collection or when delivered onsite. We encourage you to take photos or record the setup process. If it’s too much for you or you don’t know what you’re doing, we urge you to take advantage of our on site technician services where we can set up and pack down gear for you.
DO YOU DELIVER?
Yeah! Creative Kicks does not only dry hire Audio equipment. All our equipment can be delivered and operated by our team of audio engineers and technicians as a package which will also include transport. We can deliver, set up, pack down & return gear. Pricing is dependant on distance & service. Ask us for a quote.
WHEN ARE GEAR DELIVERIES DROPPED OFF?
Most commonly equipment is dropped off on the day of your event but we can work with you to drop it off the day prior if requested. During the booking process we can figure out which day and time works best subject to gear availability.
CAN SOMEONE COLLECT OR DROP OFF EQUIPMENT ON MY BEHALF?
Yes they can. However, for collections we will need a form of identification for whoever who is collecting the equipment.
Anyone can complete a drop off on your behalf if we have been previously notified. We are able to return to the bond to the hirer via EFT even if they are not the one returning the equipment.

IS THERE A LATE RETURN FEE?
Yep, fees will apply for late returns if we don't know about it. We encourage all customers to contact us if they are unable to return equipment on the nominated day but we are flexible too. If you need gear for extra days that's all good as long as it's not booked out elsewhere. Extending your hire starts at as low as $10/day if notified and approved.
DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM HIRE AMOUNT FOR RENTALS?
Yes, Creative Kicks has a is a minimum charge of $100 hire plus any delivery and collection charge unless otherwise discussed.
This means the combined value of all equipment you hire must be at least $100. Delivery and labour charges will be added on top of that.

I'M INTERSTATE, CAN YOU FREIGHT GEAR TO ME?
Absolutely. Our gear is packed and cased ready for travel as if it's going on a holiday. Your hire will be charged for the time period you require it, and any shipping and handling charges will be added on top.
HOW IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT PROCESSED?
The security deposit is held as an authorisation on your card, it's not an actual charge. Once the gear is returned and checked, the hold is released, and the charge will no longer appear on your statement. Please allow 3-5 business days for the amount to drop off.
