Dave from Hase Creative got in touch with us, needing an audio solution for a 360 shoot with multiple talent around Queen Victoria Market. The challenge was having only the morning to rig the market and our base being in Brick Lane - hundreds of metres away from where the shoot was taking place and not within visual line of sight. This meant we required not only a way to wirelessly capture clean dialogue audio but also send a clean wireless audio feed for our director, dp, the client and other key stakeholders to monitor what was being said on the fly in a tight timeframe.
The solution, and huge shout out to the talented Adam Morgan for helping us with this setup. We used 2 x Tentacle Sync Track E Recorders, DPA 4061 Core Lapel Microphones, DPA 4099 Core Minature Shotgun Microphones and at the centre of the setup, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro for monitoring. The DPA Core 4061 was hidden on the talent, plugged into a splitter to record broadcast quality 24 bit audio, then split to an iPhone so we could live monitor, which allowed everyone else to dial in and hear the audio from the talent on the go with zero latency. The outcome was flawless audio, happy clients and a very happy Mike. |
