The Sound Devices MixPre 6 II is a compact field recorder that punches above its weight. S favourite for run and gun shoots, location sound, interviews, documentaries and film shoots where you need clean audio in a compact package.

Four incredible super low self noise Kashmir preamps, so quiet voices, subtle atmos and detailed dialogue come through. It records up to six channels and gives you all the controls you'd expect. The MixPre 6-II has an internal LTC timecode generator but can also work with external timecode boxes like the Tentacle Sync E mkII into the aux input.

It can records in 32 bit float, which gives you more room to recover tricky audio when levels jump unexpectedly. Handy for fast moving shoots, run and gun and unpredictable talent, it's for anyone who's ever been burnt by clipped audio.

Our MixPre 6-II comes packed in an Orca OR270 audio bag and runs on portable power or wall power depending on your setup.

Add on a Tentacle Sync E mkII, Sennheiser G4 wireless kit or book it as part of a larger location sound recording package if you need a full recording rig.
