OUR APPROACH
PRODUCTION IS UNPREDICTABLE.
Pretty much every job throws something at you.
Access approvals slip. Weather windows close. The run sheet changes at 4pm.
We over prepare so we can go with the flow on the day. The schedule, the site and the airspace get checked before we leave the studio. Kit is tested, labelled and packed with a spare for anything that can fail. On the day we build quickly, stay out of the shot and flag problems early instead of hoping they go away. You run the production. We make sure the sound and the footage aren’t the thing you’re worrying about.
MEET MIKE
Mike “Jabs” Jaballah
Founder & Lead Sound Recordist
Mike started out DJing as a teenager, fell into live audio and spent years mixing festival stages before the TV work took over. Fifteen years on, the credits include All The Sharks for Netflix, The Amazing Race Australia, Taskmaster and the Australian Open, where he looks after audio for the big screens. He studied sound production at RMIT, holds CASA RePL and ReOC drone licences and has been flying for about eight years.
Ask his mates and they’ll tell you he’s a pretty chill, easy going guy. Ask anyone who’s seen his Pelican cases and they’ll tell you he’s sorta over the top about gear, labelling and backups. Both are true, and the second one is why producers keep calling him back.

THE TEAM
Creative Kicks is Mike plus a crew of recordists, engineers and drone operators he’s worked with for years and trusts on the jobs that matter. It’s a company, not one person’s calendar. A job that needs three people gets three people, and a date clash on our side never becomes your problem.
Big job, we bring the right people. Small job, it’s Mike or one of the crew you’ve already spoken to. Either way you brief us once, and you don’t have to repeat the brief on the day.
And then there’s Billy.

Billy
Billy is Creative Kicks’ head of morale. Visit the studio or come in on a prep day and you’ll meet him before you meet anyone else.
His job is welcoming guests, supervising gear checks from a comfortable distance, and guarding the tennis ball at all costs. He takes the last bit very seriously.
