PICKUP, RETURN AND DELIVERY
Collect from our Footscray studio, get it delivered across Melbourne, or we can send it interstate. Every collection, return and delivery runs on an agreed date and time. Turning up outside that window doesn't work, so check your booking confirmation before you jump in the car.

Before you collect
We can't release the gear until the required booking steps are done. That includes:
- Full payment
- Booking approval
- ID and address verification
- Security bond or card hold
- Acceptance of the hire terms
- Confirmation of who's collecting
Bring the original photo ID we asked for on your booking.
Collection times
Your confirmed collection time shows up in your booking. Most gear and packages comes with an extended collection window but that will be confirmed when you book. You can collect after 3pm the day before you need it and return by 10am the following morning, and it's charged at the one day rate. We may have other things going on so we might ask you to collect earlier and return later at no extra charge but we'll let you know.
Someone else collecting for you
Someone else can collect on your behalf if we've approved them. They'll need to provide photo ID, be named as an authorised person and bring the booking confirmation.
Whoever's named on the booking is still responsible for the gear.
Transporting equipment
Use a suitable vehicle. If you're hiring subs and a full system, you'll probably need a wagon, 4wd or van. No open tray utes, sorry tradie mates.
Make sure your wheels are:
- Secure
- Dry
- Covered
- Protected from impact
- Protected from heat, liquids, dust, sand and weather
And please.. Don't leave gear sitting in plain sight in your unattended car. That's just asking for it.
Returning equipment
Bring everything back to the location, on the date and time on your booking.
Every item needs to be:
- Clean and dry
- Packed in the supplied case or container
- Packed in the correct compartments
- Free of tape, liquid, food and event waste
- Returned with cables correctly coiled and secured
Hot tip: Take photos before taking anything out of cases so you know where it goes back.
The return isn't complete until we've received and checked the gear back in.
Late returns
Contact us before your agreed return time if you need an extension. An extension isn't confirmed until we've approved it in writing, and additional hire fees may apply.
Bring it back late without an approved extension and we can charge one additional daily hire rate. A further daily rate can apply for each additional 24 hour period, or part of one, that it stays overdue.
Reasonable documented costs caused by the delay can also apply, including replacement equipment needed for another confirmed booking.
Melbourne delivery
Delivery starts at $82.50 including GST, and applies each way.
What you pay depends on:
- Distance
- Equipment size and weight
- Delivery and collection times
- Parking, tolls and loading access
- Stairs, lifts or difficult access
- Waiting time
- Whether setup or pack down is required
- Whether a technician needs to stay onsite
The delivery charge covers transport only, unless your booking specifically includes setup, testing, pack down or technical operation.
Setup and pack down
Delivery doesn't automatically include setup. We can add equipment setup, system testing, soundcheck support, pack down, onsite technical support, or someone to operate the gear. These are quoted separately unless they're already part of your confirmed booking.
Freight we arrange
Where we select and arrange the carrier, we carry the applicable transit responsibility while the equipment is in that carrier's custody.
For outbound freight, you become responsible once the equipment is delivered to the authorised recipient. For return freight we've arranged, you remain responsible until the carrier accepts the packed equipment for return.
You remain responsible for:
- Incorrect delivery information
- Being unavailable at the agreed delivery
- Unsafe delivery instructions
- Requesting an unattended delivery
- Inadequate return packing
Freight you arrange
Where you select or arrange the carrier, responsibility passes to you once the equipment is handed to that carrier. You remain responsible until we receive and check the equipment back in.
You must provide tracking and proof of collection and you can't authorise an unattended delivery without our written approval.
Delivery problems?
Contact us immediately if:
- A delivery hasn't arrived
- A case appears damaged
- A security seal is broken
- An item is missing
- The equipment appears to have been damaged in transit
We recommend you snap photos of the packaging and equipment.
