The Shure SM7B is a dynamic microphone with a flat frequency response from 50Hz to 20 kHz and is resistant to mechanical noise, EMI, RFI and plosives). Known as one of the broadcast standards for radio talkshow hosts, podcasts and voiceover, it's also widely used for instrument (try it on a saxophone) and vocal mic’ing in the studio. The “bass rolloff” switch attenuates low frequencies below 400Hz and the “presence boost” switch effects the high-mids by +3dB.
As well as being an excellent microphone for podcast recording and voiceovers, the Shure SM7b dynamic mic is everything you want in a large diaphragm microphone. It's solidly built, has an excellent internal shock protection system plus it looks damn sexy.
A great mic that is made even better with a Cloudlifter CL-1 or Cloudlifter CL-2, effectively giving it 20dB additional gain.
